No matter how large we grow, we owe our success to the place we call home. We’re passionate about giving back to our community through philanthropy and volunteering.
Meals have the power to nourish people and communities. We take that power seriously, to always lead with kindness and generosity in support of the causes close to our hearts.
Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), the city’s largest rescue partner, and Morris Animal Refuge, a pioneer in animal welfare, work to make Philadelphia a city where every pet has a chance at a loving home. Through life-saving rescues, foster care, adoption, and high-quality, low-cost veterinary care, they give homeless and at-risk animals the humane outcomes and second chances they deserve.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Philadelphia Region supports families through their children’s medical challenges—a cause that’s close to our hearts. We believe a good meal goes a long way in providing comfort during these kinds of difficult times, so we regularly volunteer by creating meal kits to support RMHC’s amazing mission. That support also extends to the catering services we provide for their fundraising events, which raise critical funds for supporting the families they serve.
Philadelphia is home to some of the most promising young students in the country. We believe every young person deserves the chance to learn in the most supportive environments, which is why we proudly support two institutions making it possible for Philly kids to dream: St. James School and Girard College. These schools provide critical resources and education to underprivileged kids, supporting their journey to become the leaders of tomorrow. We support them through both on-going donated consulting services and significant financial patronage to their fundraising goals.
12th Street is proud to support two of our region’s leading hunger relief organizations, Share Food Program and Philabundance. Share Food Program distributes millions of pounds of food to our neighbors in need, tripling its efforts in response to COVID-19, inflation, and SNAP cuts. We help sustain their mission by donating our excess food to ensure more families, children, and seniors receive life-sustaining meals. Similarly, Philabundance works to drive hunger from our communities today and end it for good tomorrow. Beyond donating food and ingredients to their facilities, we also support their 2nd Chance Program, providing internships to individuals looking to build careers in the culinary arts.
